Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

British Road Passenger Transport was quoted as saying that the EEC Social Regulations do not affect regular passenger services with a route length of less than 501(m. Is this correct? I understood that there was now no distance limit.

You are correct, the restriction of the exemption to regular services with a less than 50km route length in Regulation 543/69 was later amended to remove the distance restriction in Article 3 of Regulation 1463/70. The exemption now refers to all regular services.
