A ROAD service between London and Lagos is to be started in September by Terminal Transport Services Ltd of London. The journey, via Southampton, Tangier, Oran, Bechar, and Ibadan, will take about a fortnight. The service cannot be started earlier because of the rainy season. • Artie tilt vans 12m long will be used, with two-driver crews. Total cost to users of the service will be £13,000, including ferry charges, fuel, drivers food and so on. Ports in Nigeria are clogged at present, and exporters are experiencing delays of up to three months.
