THE Regional Crime Squad in the North West has set up a special stolen lorry section to deal with the growing number of thefts of trucks and trailers, Liverpool Crown Court heard last week.

John Garner Sanders, 28, of Hayes House, Bucknell, Shropshire, and Frederick John Davies, 21, and William James Thomas, 28, both living in a caravan on Sanders' farm, all pleaded guilty to dishonestly handling an ERF tractor, an Atkinson tractor, and an Atkinson tractor and trailer.

Sanders admitted a further charge of dishonestly handling an International loading shovel worth £1,400.

Mr R. H. MontgOmery, pro secuting, said the vehicle: were stolen by others an taken to Sanders' farm.
