to the Scottish Licensing Authority last week to provide a service between Renfrew and Paisley, the difficulties for workers of British European Airways at Renfrew airport in getting home were referred to.
Mr. W. McPherson, of the B.E.A., said that existing transport services were packed at night by men from nearby shipyards who finished work at the same time as the airport employees. The applicant produced letters which had been written to the Western S.M.T. concern and Paton Bros., ltd.; asking them to provide a service.. Both had replied that they were unable to do so, it was ,stated.
The hearing was adjourned.
