Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Danzas, the Swiss-based transportation and forwarding organisation, has acquired CAT Nationwide Carriers via its subsidiary Danzas (UK), in a move that takes it into the British domestic market for the first time.

Michael von der NueIL managing director of Danzas (UK), says CAT's established distribution activities will be integrated into the present Danzas (UK) domestic transport system, which to date has served primarily to feed the company's European and worldwide services.

"The acquisition introduces a systemised network of services in the UK to dovetail into the Danzas Group's substantial European network," says von der Nuell. "CAT fits well into the group's present and future structure."

CAT formerly known as Chard and Axminster Transport, is a member of the Peter Baulch Group, and has been established as a domestic transport company for almost 60 years. Managing director Peter Baulch will remain in control of CAT and take re sponsibility on national collection and delivery activities for Danzas.

CAT has depots in Chard, Somerset; Feltham, Middlesex and Oldbury in the West Midlands. A northern depot will be added shortly.

Von der Nue11 says CAT's established Nexday, 48-hour and 72-hour services will complement the other less-thanfull-vehicle-load services offered by Danzas, including it European express system, Eurapad, European groupage operations by road, and worldwide shipping by air and sea.

Danzas (UK) was launched in January 1987 as a whollyowned subsidiary of the Danza Group, taking over a variety a transportation services previously operated under the Gentransco name.
