I Thayers Ice Cream has rdered five dual-role reefer axes from GRP Massey, all n Roadrunner 8.13 chassis, ir its multi-drop service. Each has 40 Polar Pac lastic eutechtic beams with ,000kW condensers to Lain lain temperatures over a 3-hour period without vernight standby.
The bodies can accept iternal bulkheads to provide ozen/chilled compartments. (ith the front 20 beams shut 1 and the output of the Rotocold condensers adjusted (by changing the pulley and drive belts) the Polar Pac freezes the rear 20 beams.
Eutechtics were also chosen for nine GRP vehicles on a mix of M-B and Cargo chassis cabs by Hopwells, the Midlands-based food wholesaler and GRP has won a contract worth £600,000 to supply Exel Logistics with a dozen 12m refer semi trailers. Bodies and trailers will be built at its new Market Weighton factory. The order is one of the first placed by NFC Distribution under the new Exel banner.
