THE REORGANISATION of Northern General Transport into five new districts has been followed by the appointment of new managers for each district.
John Shaw, the company's area traffic superintendent (north), is district manager for Gateshead. Alan Jackson, his opposite number for its southern area, is to manage Sunderland.
Neil Renilson joins Northern from the Trent Company to take charge of its new Tyne district. He was previously Trent's western area manager.
Depot traffic supervisor at Consett, Kevin Lascelles, is to head Derwentside, and East Durham will be the responsibility of Eddie Ward. Mr Ward, currently district traffic superintendent in Sunderland, also takes on the management of Northern coaching operations.
