Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

HAVING just read the Hawk's comment on "Price of progress", (CMJune 29) I would just like to add a further comment. 20-odd years ago, when fuel was cheap and plentiful and passengers much more numerous, the TI-IC companies operated the Bristol SC4LK with 35 seats and doing around 27rnpg.

Now we are lucky to get half that, The Bedford 330-engined VAN of 1966 carried 45 passengers at 17-19mpg (we still have one consistent at 18.5mpg); now the YLQ or YRQ does the same job at 121/2mpg.
