Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WE ARE HOPING that some large Bedford fleet owners in the London area have come up with a modification to the following problem which we have in Hong Kong and to which General Motors do not seem to have an answer.

The vehicle concerned is the Bedford TK 1630 fitted with the 500 diesel engine and the fivespeed ENV gearbox. The front end of the main shaft is supported by a caged needle rollerbearing which is fitted in the primary motion shaft. We find that this roller breaks up, causing serious damage to both shafts and it is a very expensive repair. If any fleet owner in the London area has found a way 'round this problem, we would be very happy to hear how he does it.
