SEAT BELTS in coaches are unlikely to save lives. Transport Minister Norman Fowler squelched any suggestion that they might in a recent Commons statemer.t.
Mr Fowler gave the latest casualty figures for PSV users from October 1977 to last September: killed, 70; seriously injured 1250; slightly injured, 10,800; all severities, 12,100.
