nURING the first quarter of the year.
Britain maintained its position as the world's greatest producer of buses. In the field of commercial vehicles of all kinds, it took second place.
Output by countries was as follows:U.S.A., 378,323; United Kingdom, 68,622; Canada, 35.245; France, 30.177; Western Germany, 28,370; Italy, 7,352.
Britain's output of buses numbered 2,792 units, followed by the U.S.A., with 2,011. Western Germany took third place with 1,185 units. Germany's production of buses was double that of either France or Italy.
