Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IN spite of a plea by seven local operators that they could cope with excursion and tour traffic, and that abstraction would occur if the application were granted, the Yorkshire Licensing Authority has authorized Sansom Bros. (Sheffield), Ltd., Handsworth, to run 11 additional tours.

The company's application for permission to run two extra vehicles on the new tours has, however, been refused.

In the Authority's deferred decision, which was announced this week, certain time-table conditions were laid down in respect of one of the tours. The return time on the Bolsover trip must not be before 9.30 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays, and not before 10 p.m, on Saturdays and Sundays.

The hearing of the application was reported in The Commercial Motor on November 18 last.

LONDON'S EXPRESS BUSES GENERALLY SUCCESSFUL PXPRESS bus services introduced by the London Transport Executive during the past year are proving successful, and similar services are planned for further routes.

This was revealed when the Executive announced that one of the six express routes so far introduced experimentally was to revert to normal stage running after it had been found that traffic conditions did not justify the new service. The service concerned is No. 93, between Epsom and Morden. The change will take place on February 1.
