Pontefract Corporation is seeking sanction to borrow Z700 for the purchase of a motor vehicle for refuse collection.
Dundee Fire Brigade Committee has approved the proposal to buy a motor turntable ladder, at an estimated cost of £3.500.
Merthants Emergency Committee has purchased five motor horseboxes, for use as mobile first-aid posts, at a cost of Z1,2155, Darlington Town Council is buying two trolley-bus chassis from both the Daimler and Kartier concerns. Middleton Town Council requires tenders for the supply of a motor ambulance with twostretcher equipment or, alternatively, fourstretcher equipment; the closing date is January 25. Belfast A.R.P. Committee is inviting tenders foe the supply and conversion to ambulances of suitable vane, trailers and cars, used or otherwise.
