• More than £100.000 damage has been done in an arson attack on four reefer trucks belonging to Nottingham-based meat wholesaler W Weddel & Company.
The Animal Liberation Front has taken responsibility for the incident, which took place at around 03:15hrs last Monday (17 February). One 10-tonner and three 7.5-tonne Mercedes-Benz and Leyland Daf reefers were destroyed bul the premises were not damaged and no one was hurt.
Firemen, who dealt with two similar attacks in Nottingham in the past 10 months, blocked off two nearby roads to search for other firebombs which could have been planted in the vicinity.
