II I wish to echo the comments from David Brain of Chassis Developments' regarding Bedfordshire County Council's recent purchase of Hino Trucks (CM 30 Jan-5 Feb).

I just do not believe that AWD, Renault, or their distributors could not compete on price, quality and overall suitability, including residual value.

What possible chance does this country stand when the Government is destroying UK jobs in such a fashion?

I hope that the local community charge and business rate payers will seek justification from their county councillors who should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for this disgraceful purchase. P Goodall, Evesham, Worcs.
