Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

McGILL'S Bus Service, the Barrhead-based independent which was refused a licence for a Barrhead-Glasgow service (CM, February 6) has been given permission to run the service on Sundays.

The Scottish Traffic Commissioners refused McGill permission for running the service because they feared it might endanger a suburban rail service, but the train does not operate on Sundays.

McGill has also been granted a licence for a daily service from Barrhead to Pollok shopping centre in South West Glasgow, the section of the route which Strathclyde PTE conceded was in the public interest.
