• Passengers carried on public transport by road and rail in Great Britain in 1968 totalled 11,741m, a fall of 397m or one per cent compared with 1967. The figure represents a decrease of 3,881m passengers or 25 per cent less than the total 10 years earlier. Receipts for these services totalled £629m, about il8m more than the previous year.
