• Transport and General Workers' Union lorry drivers employed by Bradford and District Hauliers Federation are to strike from March 1, following their rejection of a £.2 14s (221 per cent) increase on existing rates for drivers of 21-tonners and over.
Mr. George Collins, chairman of the Bradford branch of the TGWU. said on Monday that the Union's commercial branch found the offer unacceptable.
The men were offered a minimum of i18 for a 40-hour week.
