A NEW BEARING EXTRACTOR IN a new ball-bearing and roller" bearing extractor known as the Tracta, produced by Civitas Trading Corporation, Ltd., 10 Duke Street, London, W.1, a multi-toothed collet chuck takes a hold on the inner race of the bearing. When turned, a threaded thrust pin, mounted in the body of the tool and concentric with the clutch, comes up against the end of the shaft on which the bearing is mounted.
The reaction between the thrust pin and the gripping clutch serves to withdraw the race from the shaft. A series of different-sized collets, used with the same tool, covers a wide range of ballraces.

CARDIFF BUS STATION Ei VERY bus company running vehicles into Cardiff has agreed, subject to conditions, to support a proposal for the provision of a central bus station in Wood Street. The corporation committee dealing with the scheme was informed of this last week.
