Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MY PARTNER, who was born with Spina Bifida, is wanting to take his LGV licence. Although Brian mainly uses his wheelchair, he can get around on crutches as well.

When Brian decided that this is what he wanted to do, we knew it wouldn't be easy. The first hurdle was getting his provisional licence, which has taken six months to get.

After speaking to many LGV training centres, we were told that they didn't have a suitable vehicle and couldn't recommend anyone who could help us..

What we do know is that the vehicle would have to be at least 12 tonnes, 30ft minimum length and would have to be an automatic (so we can fit hand controls) — all this just for the duration of the training and taking the test. We have also contacted Mobility in Birmingham, but they too were unable to help us.

Brian has already gained his advanced driving test and advanced car towing test, and would like to increase his driving skills by taking the LGV test.

He is always keen to improve on what he does: in 1992 he was part of the GB Sailing Team, which brought GB's first gold medal from the games in Barcelona.

We are prepared to travel anywhere to help Brian fulfil his dream. He is hoping to take the theory part of the LGV test in January and then complete the driving part of the licence as soon as possible after that.

We are hoping that there is someone out there who is prepared to help us or knows of someone who could assist us. Brian's disability shouldn't stop him from taking this test.
