Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Graham Marshall, founder of the 63-bedroom Truckworld truckstop at Thurrock near the Dartford Tunnel, is bidding to buy back the site. It went into receivership last month when its key backer, a French bank, pulled out.

Marshall says the truckstop, which has parking spaces for 230 HGVs, is thriving and made a trading surplus in the past three months. He hopes to win fresh funding from a bank, hotel group and brewery.

Truckworld opened in 1989, with backing from the Nat West bank and oil company Mobil. Marshall planned to build a similar truckstop in Warrington.
