• British Rail's choice of Wakefield as the site for its West Yorkshire rail freight terminal has contradicted plans which last year identified Stourton in Leeds as the main West Yorkshire freight centre, says Doncaster Council.
The Wakefield site is poorly connected by road and rail, says the council, and delays to planning permission are likely as the land is Green Belt.
