• Dedicated Magazine Deliveries — the magazine distribution consortium formed from the ashes of Times Sensitive Deliveries (TSDL) — has put off its launch until 8 January.
It says that publishers who used TSDL have moved their delivery contracts to British Rail and other carriers as a stop-gap measure, and most of these arrangements run out at the end of the year.
DMD had planned to begin its distribution network this week — using nearly all of the former TSDL hauliers.
The company stresses that it will not be offering publishers lower rates than TSDL, as previously reported (CM 6-12 December).
