A further improvement has to be recorded as regards the importation of commercial-motor vehicles into the Irish Free State, the October returns just to hand :bowing a total of 58 vehieles valued at £32,158, as compared with 20 vehicles (£4,562) in the corresponding month of 1926. During. the 10 mouths ended with October no' fewer than 638 vehicles (£197,355) were imported, these figures contrasting with only .185 (168,435). in the corresponding period of 1926.
