It is stated that production has recently commenced at the new Goodyear tyre factory in Sydney, Australia. The plant has an initial capacity of 1,000 tyres and tubes per day. The opening of the new factory marks the establishment of the sixth tyre-manufacturing plant operated by the Goodyear concern in various parts of the world. Many of our readers will perhaps know that the company is also opening a factory at Wolverhampton in the early part of next year.
