Wincanton Distribution Services has won a new fiveyear fleet management contract with Lucas Electrical to supply over 100 vehicles and trailers for use on Lucas' UK distribution.
As part of the contract Wincanton has bought the majority of Lucas Electrical's existing fleet.
Wincanton is also buying 46 new vehicles, from 7.5-tonne rigids to antic units worth around £1 million, which will be phased into the Lucas fleet over the coming months. WDS is also taking over Lucas' 1,900m2 workshop at Formans Road, Birmingham.
