Executives (YES) Group will launch a twoyear study course on road haulage in October.
The eight study weekends, over a 24-month period, will lead to a Certificate in Haulage Studies. In addition the RHA is considering a final assessment and written examination for a Diploma in Haulage Studies for successful candidates.
The first study weekend will cover a wide variety of topics, under the heading Company Analysis and Corporate Strategy for the Haulier, while the second will deal with Change, Managing Change and directing Change.
Other subjects to be covered include marketing, finance, selling, negotiation, law and new technology with an optional tutorial on international haulage.
The number of places available will be restricted, with YES members having priority. The weekends, which will be held in central locations, will each cost £175 plus VAT which covers tuition, documentation, board and lodging, YES members will qualify for a discount; for further information contact the RHA on 01-736 1183.
