Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

packages require waste producers to classify all their by-products, listing their characteristics, and containing them in sound receptacles. They must also identify any risks and provide safety information to warn and protect both the handler and emergency services.

To help customers meet these regulations Cleanaway, the waste materials handling specialist, has introduced a new service called Chempac, which covers the identification, packaging, on-site handling and transportation of dangerous substances to a licensed disposal site.

Two support chemists with purpose-designed vehicles are operating the service, initially from technical centres in Cambridge and Croydon. They will be backed up by Cleanaway's analytical laboratory and transport depots and additional Chempac chemists will be brought in on a regional basis. For further information on Chempac call Cleanaway 01-684 4220 or (0223) 311231.
