Ferry Road, Grangetown Cardiff (0222-44744) has launched a new series of heavy commercial vehicle auctions to be held on the second Thursday of each month at 11.00hrs.

On 27 August BCA will also stage the first of a series of quarterly plant equipment auctions, featuring cranes, loading shovels, tractors, mowing machines, dump trucks and agricultural equipment.

According to BCA Cardiff branch manager Eddie Gerrard, the latest series of heavy truck auctions is in response to growing demand from Welsh truck operators, and will provide the opportunity for local dealers to build up stocks of second-hand HGVs without the cost of transporting them in from other areas.

CMA DURSLEY VAN SALES • Central Motor Auctions has launched a new weekly light commercial vehicle sale day at its Dursley, Gloucester, branch (0453 2939).

The auction will be held at 13.00hrs every Tuesday preceding the regular car sale.

The light commerical vehicle sales are in response to growing demand from would-be buyers of used vans, and follow a successful pilot scheme,
