next year with a 25-seat luxury model based on the 7.5-tonne Mercedes-Benz LN2 turbocharged 811D high-capacity van.
Devon already produces luxury and welfare midi conversions on the fighter 609D and 709D LN2 vans; development work on the 811D turbo midi is likely to begin shortly.
The company has recently carried out a number of improvements to its Exeter plant, investing some £40,000 on production tooling and a new paint booth which will be capable of handling its LN2-based midibuses. Devon plans to complete up to 475 conversion of all types by the end of the year.
