Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The American Xerox Corporation has made what is described as "a multi-million investment" in its new UKbased contract hire and leasing subsidiary Triton Business Finance, in a bid to become one of the top five fleetmanagement companies in Britain.

Based at Slough, Triton will offer a wide variety of contract hire and vehicle leasing packages for trucks heavy plant, cars and light commercials. Triton already runs Rank Xerox UK's 3,500strong car fleet, but a decision has yet to be made on whether it will manage Rank Xerox's truck fleet of around 100 vehicles.

According to Triton's operations director Stephen Gray, Xerox Corporation has provided sufficient capital for Triton to become a major force in contract hire.

Triton will not be setting up a truck contract-hire depot network in Britain like BRS — instead it will rely on local truck distributors and dealers to supply vehicles and provide the necessary service back-up.

Triton has already signed a contract to supply Ackers Jarrett with 15 MAN rigid trucks for use on its waste management operations.
