• Management-owned Tibbett & Britten has won a three-year contract with Fosters menswear to distribute hanging and boxed garments from its Solihull central distribution centre to over 450 Fosters, Your Price, Jargon and Bradley stores throughout the UK.
The contract involves a mix of dedicated delivery, and network distribution, which is intended to give Fosters greater flexibility than an allnetwork service.
Initially, some 240 stores will be serviced by dedicated vehicles, with the balance being delivered through T&B's national network. Two thirds of the total volume will be delivered next day and the remainder within two days.
To handle the contract T&B will use five drawbar outfits with 13 demount box bodies running in Fosters' livery.
