FOUR double-deck coaches are to be delivered to the Scottish Group next year to test their suitability for shorter distance rout' Two Volvo Ailsa and two Leyland Olympian buses have been cancelled from the Alexander (Fife) and Eastern Scottish order programmes, and Fife instead will buy two Volvo Ailsa Citybuses with underfloor engines, and Eastern Scottish two Olympian coaches.
Both will be stretched twoaxle models, although the exact length has still to be decided, and they will be fitted with Alexander R-type bodies which have been restyled at the front.
