THE SOCIETY of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) is combining its aftermarket parts and accessories exhibition with the garage equipment display in the Autoquip-Garagequip Exhibition to be held at London's Earls Court on September 25 to 30.
Transport Under Secretary Lynda Chalker will formally open the exhibition which will feature the latest in workshop equipment and auto accessories from 295 exhibitors.
Its Garagequip sector is expected to have on show the most comprehensive and competitive display of British and imported garage equipment and automotive tools yet seen in the UK.
Exhibitors are taking the opportunity to show their most up to date products. Tecalemit, for example, is displaying its new digital lubricant metering system, along with a new twopost 2.5 tonne lift.
Its digital metering system, which is based on a pulse output device, is capable of metering almost any automotive fluid such as lubricants, hydraulic oil, antifreeze or fuel oils and serves a triple function.
All fluids can be accurately and automatically logged to provide a complete record for each service bay or vehicle. Key or card-operated locks can be built-in to speed up operations and to ensure total security while the system also features a centralised control and recording console able to handle up to three different lubricants at each of five work stations.
