The 'Europa 125' compressor is the latest development by the Drum Engineering Co Ltd. It is an entirely new unit capable of continuous operation at up to 35 lb ;so in. maximum pressure and capacities up to 120 cu ft per min at 2000 rpm. • The main bearings are sealed for life, the vanes are manufactured in a selflubricating carbon and the high-capacity fan is said to maintain high thermal efficiency.
Constructed with an aluminium casing on a cast iron frame, the unit can be foot mounted or underslung in a number of positions which, cbupled with a drive shaft at each end, allows great versatility in location and drive. This versatility extends to alternative shaft rotation to permit application as a vacuum pump.
Measuring only 20m x 11 .5in x 9.75in. and weighing 163Ib it is very suitable for mounting on road tankers and for other mobile applications.
