The point he does not make is that although the operator may have joined because he wants to take advantage of the TIR system he is, of course, entitled to make use of the full range of the Association's services. In particular, detailed advice is available to all members on the documentation required, ferry services, and the snags and pitfalls of operation into Europe.
In the event of Great Britain joining the Common Market the FTA foresees a large increase in the number of operators going into Europe and is planning to improve and increase its international services.
