Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

111 A distance of 1800 miles a week is ;overed by a bulk-poultry-food 32-ton-gross uticulated vehicle that has a payload of [9/20 tons and runs between Avonmouth Docks and East Devon. The body is a dulkfreight aluminium structure of 1350 cu

ft capacity built by the Tiverton Body and Container Co Ltd, of Tiverton, and is mounted on an M and G three-axle semi-trailer, the tractive unit being an AEC Mandator. Operated by R, Radford, of Halberton. Tiverton, under contract to the Lloyd Maunder company, of Sampford Peverell, it supplies food to a number of poultry farmers for some 600,000 birds. Two 12-ton vehicles and an 8-tormer were formerly used to deliver the same amount of food to the farms. Employment of a bulk vehicle has been facilitated by the increase in storage capacity on the farms.

The body has four equal compartments and is tipped by an Edbro 7CAN .gear, while the load is pneumatically discharged

by a Dunnspencer system. Two drivers are employed on the run, and it is notable that farms to which deliveries are made include Hal berton Poultry Ltd, the managing director of which is Mr R. Radford, the operator of the vehicle. The quick turnround time at the farms is of special importance in operating the vehicles to the planned schedule.
