• Moray county council is to investigate the scope for subsidies of bus services in areas where withdrawal is proposed. The county is also to consider the possibility of buying a bus and running it as a county service on routes which would not otherwise be covered.
Meanwhile. in Perthshire, the county couneil is facing a plea from residents in the Aberfoyle-Stirling area where W. Alexander and Sons have planned to curtail services. The rural residents are pressurizing the county to approve a subsidy for the service. An action committee has been formed to develop the matter.
