Leslie Tyler has been appointed depot manager for the new Godfrey Davis truck rental depot at Coldharbour Lane, Hayes, Middlesex. Derek Cudworth, 43. depot manager at Peterborough since 1967. has been appointed Leicester depot manager by National Carriers Ltd.

A. G. Splude, 23, transport manager of A. J. Lockwood (Road Haulage) Ltd since its formation in 1969, has been appointed to the board. Twenty-one of the company's 27 vehicles are refrigerated and before joining Lockwood, Mr Splude spent a number of years with the Pointer Group.

G. Tinker has moved from Macclesfield to Preston as branch manager, BRE Parcels Ltd. Mr Tinker's appointment results from the retirement of the former Preston branch manager, F. Wolstenholme.

G. Rawlinson has been appointed sales manager by Wilsdon and Co Ltd. Solihull, Warwicks, manufacturer of Herculite bodywork and Leyland Redline dealer. Mr Rawlinson was previously sales manager for Two Gates Garage. Coventry.

Obihsary

We record with regret the deaths of R. Courts, Reg North, George Spencer and John Williams.

Mr Coutts retired in 1964 as traffic manager of the Yorkshire Traction Co Ltd.

Mr North was a sales representative of Unit Body Developments, of Borehamwood, Herts. Mr Spencer, 60, had recently been reappointed chairman of the Distributive Industry Training Board.

Mr Williams was managing director of Charnwood Trucks Ltd, of Shepshed, Leicestershire.
