Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• What is claimed to be a new concept in customs clearance has been introduced with the opening of SLIC—South London Inland Clearance depot.

Part of the HTS group, SLIC is situated in Charlton less than half a mile from A2. The centre is patrolled 24 hours by security patrols, is equipped with mechanical handling gear, 100 tons lifts and has 70,000 se ft of transit warehousing. In addition, a customs approved vehicle park is provided where trailers can await clearance. These facilities provide the customer with a fully integrated customs warehousing and distribution complex. Additional sites for clearance depots are under consideration at the moment by SL1C.
