WE refer to your report in the July 30 issue in which it " was stated that an application was granted by the Eastern Traffic Commissioners for this company to operate a coach tour from Chelmsford to Switzerland. It was stated that previously Mr. Wells approached another company to undertake the tour on his behalf but that after agreeing they had now withdraWn. We must correct this statement. The other company was not approached to undertake the tour but only to transport our passengers to and from Southampton and, in point of fact, that company does not operate Continental tours. May we add that since we were granted a licence to operate a Continental tour from Chelmsford to Barcelona. Spain. this is our fifth season in which we have had every success in this field -as may be borne out by the fact of the very good support we receive from the people of Chelmsford. This company, therefore, would never need any other to operate a Continental tour on its behalf. We would request that you publish these facts accordingly.
