Designed to run at 32 tons gross train .eight, the outfit will be used to carry eneral chemicals and oils. The tractive unit has the FD6 Mk. VI turbocharged two-stroke diesel engine and 12-speed gearbox, The steering axles are spaced at 4 ft. 6 in, centres and the overall wheelbase is 12 ft. 3 in.

The tank semi-trailer is equipped at the upper fifth-wheel plate with the Hope anti-jack-knife device of Self Energising Disc Brakes Ltd.. of which an example i., seen in the bottom left-hand picture. Hemphill have these fitted on many of their trailers.
