QEEKING to consolidate 12 A-licensed and 18 B-licensed tankers of 2804 tons capacity into an A licence for 30 vehicles of the same total unladen weight. J. M. Horrocks and Sons Ltd. last week reduced their application to 28 vehicles. 263+ tons, to meet the demands of objectors. After an undertaking had been given not to place further vehicles on contract with Lancashire Tar Distillers Ltd., the request was granted by the North Western Licensing Authority in Manchester.
Bulk liquids, mainly tar, tar products, ammonia products, oils and waxes are to be carried by this Manchester-based company in Great Britain. mainly in Lancashire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, Yorkshire and adjoining counties.
