Hanlon, chairman of the Northern Traffic Commissioners, said that Bulman had made the point that he had been seen by a senior traffic examiner from the Northern area about his operations. What the examiner had 'done was to advise him to obtain legal opinion on what he could or could not do. But instead Bulman had gone on doing . what hr had wanted to do.
In announcing the grant of Wilson-s application for the resumption of his Staithes-toLoftus service. Mr. Hanlon said that the applicant had been in some trouble in the past because of his behaviour, hut Bulman had had ample opportunity to put his can house in order.
Wilson was also allowed the occasional use of his 29-seater coach from the top of Staithes Bank in the high season, and also a late-night express service for dance specials &Can Whitby Spa to Broiton.
