Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

are taking an increasing interest in the fitting of radio to their vehicles, whether simply to provide entertainment for the goods driver, on a long run and at his scheduled rests, or to complement the luxury offered to the coach tourist and the serious traveller.

E. K. Cole. Ltd.. Ekco Works, Southend-on-Sea, Essex. well known for its widely used car radio sets, has now added to the range of models the C R 68. It is specially designed for use in passenger vehicles, in that it is a high-power receiver with a hand or throat-type microphone. It operates up to four extension speakers.

The outstanding advantage is that either the driver or the conductor can address the passengers, as occasion demands, simply by the operation of a change-over switch. All announce

ments necessary for the control of a tourist party, or to advise long-distance or air terminal passengers, can be made with great ease and clarity.

Ordinary tuning is safe and simple, because of the rotary station selector, and the throat " mike " has wide possibilities. always consistent with the greatest safety.

Certain restrictive legislation bears on this matter, but strong efforts are being made to secure amendment.

Last week the latest sets were demonstrated to the Press, having been installed in a Commer "Commando" and an Albion CX13 coach refvectively. •

All , functions were demonstrated most convincingly and fully.

The CR68, either 12or 24-volt, is available with direct control at £24 3s., plus £5 4s. 8d. purchase tax, or extension control at £23 12s. 6d., plus

£5 2s. 5d. purchase tax. A33
