At a recent meeting of the Council of the Institution of Automobile Engineers it was decided to raise the fees" ic respect of the practical tests in con nection with the issue of I.A.E. repair' certificates to competent mechanics. These, which will be effective on applications .after December 31, 1937, are as follow :—Practical. test in Section A (mechanical) or Section B (electrical), £1 10s.; full re-test, £1; re-test in one subsection, 10s.
