r Barnard Castle-based tipper operator TF Corner is sang all but three of its units "because rates are around 40% what they should be".
The company has been in the bulk grain business for 30 years; until now it ran 14 vehicles—but it says some rates haven't gone up for 10 years.
It also claims that most grain merchants are not interested in firms conforming to the UKASTA code—they just want the job done for the lowest price. It will continue to operate in the specialist bulk blowing market.
