Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by Brian Weatherley • Green Flag National Breakdown has invested more than Lim in a computerised call-handling system aiming to provide a quicker, more efficient service to operators with hro ken down vehicles. And the old National Breakdown Commercial Recovery name has been replaced by Green Flag Truck Assistance.

The Leeds-based company has spent heavily on the development and staff training on the new comput er-based incident management system. According to general sales manager Paul Westgarth it will "take no longer than 10 minutes from loading the initial call to dispatching the correct fitter, with the correct tools to the correct place and at the correct time with the objective of doing it all in under an hour."

The system will also progress chase and monitor the job while regularly communicating with the operator.

As well as speeding up response times the new system will "guarantee payment to the agent, as we'll be looking to verify an account status more quickly than before," says Westgarth.

The Green Flag Truck Assistance programrne will continue to offer operators a range of user options including its pay-on-use or annual premium vehicle coverage schemes.

Alongside its independent recovery service, based on a nationwide network of agents, Green Flag also provides the central emergency breakdown call handling service for Seddon Atkinson, Scania, ERF, Foden and Iveco Ford.
