• Boalloy has introduced a new bolt-together front bulkhead design for its Tautliner curtain-sided semi-trailers that will help reduce damage and down-time costs following head-on impacts.
Changing from a welded fabrication to a bolt-up system allows a 'progressive collapse' by stages, thus elininating costly body bending and detachment from the trailer frame, when damage occurs.
The new build method, which is lighter, will be applied to all Tautliner variations, and is only marginally more expensive.
An example will be on show at the IRTE exhibition scheduled 11-12 May.
