• One of Britain's leading recovery manufacturers, Wreckers International, is building tipper bodies at its new factory in East Kilbride, Strathclyde.
The Scottish plant will produce steel dropside and tipping bodies in lengths of 2.44, 3.20 and 3.81m, suitable for all popular rigid chassis of 3.5 to 7.5 tonnes.
Bodies using front-mounted rams will be offered with TEC (formerly Anthony Carrimore) hydraulic equipment and tippers with an underfloor lift arrangement will have Linktip scissor-type lifting gear.
0 Last month Wreckers launched crew-cab conversions for Mercedes-Benz 814 chassis cowls and the 609D day cab. Both models will be built at its Bristol factory.
